What is my EIN(Educator Identification Number)?
Instead of social security numbers, the state is now using the "Educator Identification Number" to process CEUs. Please contact your district CEU coordinator to find out your EIN. In compliance with the Connecticut State Department of Education's requirements, please note the following CEU information:
The Connecticut State Department of Education has notified us that as a CEU provider, we must collect Educator Identification Numbers (EINs) when offering CEU Credit to workshop/conference participants who hold Connecticut certification. We must obtain a participant's ten-digit EIN in lieu of a social security number. If you do not know your EIN, please check your most recent certification or contact the Connecticut State Department of Education prior to attending. Incomplete CEU forms will not be processed. If you plan to request CEU Credit, please bring your EIN with you in order to complete the CEU Credit Form. We recommend that you plug your ten-digit EIN into your cell phone for easy reference, giving it the contact name “EIN”.
